Description
A silver metal kerosene lamp with glass globe. The base of lamp is the reservoir for the kerosene. Embossed on top of the base is 'E.T. WRIGHT' 'NO.4'. In the center of the base is a burner with a swivel wick raiser attached to it. Two vertical posts are attached to the burner and the ventilator at the top. The ventilator consists of four layers. The top layer is disk shaped like an upside saucer, slightly bent and pushed in from use. It has a square loop attached in the center. 'HAMILTON, CANADA' FEB. 1912 is embossed on the top. The second layer is a tube with four evenly spaced metal rectangular hollowed out areas. The third section is where the vertical posts are attached. The final layer of the globe has 'MADE IN CANADA' embossed on it. The globe sits on a rigid disk. Two pieces of wire that are attached to the disk cross over each other to hold the globe in place. A lever extends from one post to the other and is attached in the middle to the disk. This lever raises or lowers the entire core of the lantern. A rounded wire handle on top is attached to the second layer of the lantern.
