- Description
- Pack is a homemade and made from wood, burlap rice sack, canvas, leather & nails. The back board cnsists of 3 vertical slats nailed onto 2 horizontal pieces (top & bottom). The ends of these two pieces have smooth notches carved in them to cords will not slide off. Two small blocks of wood are nailed to the bottom back outside outside of the vertical slats. Two wide canvas straps are attached to the back with leather thongs.A long leather handle is nailed to the front top board. The rice sack has been used as the bag for the pack. "MONARCH" is stamped in red across the top; a black lion's head in the middle; "BRAND" very faint in red capitals below; CHOICE PEARL RICE in large capitals at the bottom, MONARCH is also stamped down the sides of the sack. 100 lbs. Grross when packed printed on the very bottom.
