- Description
- a) The item is a large round black car speaker with ear phones. The fornt has a grill with five holes. Speaker cloth is set in behind the grill. The speaker sits on a small recatnagular pedestal type base. The back of the speaker also has open grill work which is divided into six pie-shaped wedges. The edge of the grill work is calloped and is backed by black paper.
b) The speaker also has a set of earphones marked "CANADIAN BRANDES LMIITED / Toronto Superior Matched Tones / Reg. Trademark / Made in Canada". The ear pieces are joined together with tow cloth covered wires. Both the ear phones and speaker have wires attached to them. Both wires have 2 jacks on the opposite end.

- According to previous records: "This item was used when Radio first came out for Brandes Ltd., Toronto.
- Inscriptions
- A metal tag on the front reads "ATWATER KENT TYPE E RADIO SPEAKER / PATENT PENDING / SERIAL NO. 779287"
In the centre of the grill is a round ornate brass disk embossed iwith the words "MODEL E ATWATER KENT - PATENTS PENDING".
