History Of Use
The Kodak No 2A Folding Pocket Camera was introduced in June, 1907 and discontinued in September, 1915. The camera used folding roll film and produced pictures that were sized 2 ¼ x 3 ¼ inches. It was manufactured in the United States and used a Meniscus Archromat lens. The wood body was covered in imitation leather, and the camera’s size had been reduced by 20%, compared to the No. 2 Folding Brownie Camera. The camera also featured a reversible reflecting finder, metal lens panel, sliding focus with an automatic lock, and a hinged back released by concealed buttons. Over 174,000 of the No 2A Folding Pocket Camera were made.
