- History Of Use
- No known personal history on the donor at this time. From past cataloguing, it was stated only that this basket was made by Interior First Nations people, quite possibly the Salish. The design is made with Cherry bark and Spruce root. The Salish technique is such that if the basket was soaked, it would become water tight and could then be used in cooking, by placing hot stones inside. There are Coast & Interior Salish.
