History Of Use
No known personal history on the donor at this time. Past cataloguing stated this basket was made by Coast Salish. The design is made with Cherry bark and Spruce root. The Salish technique is such that if the basket was soaked, it would become water tight and could be used in a method of cooking which utilized hot stones placed in the container.
