History Of Use
Dating to 1947, this chainsaw was manufactured by I.E.L., Industrial Engineering Ltd. in Vancouver. They later became Pioneer Chainsaws. Handles were designed to swivel as they had float carburators and had to be kept level. There is a pin release at rear of carburator and the gas tank is on top. Model AB is indicated on the orginal donor information sheet. This saw likely came from donor's brother-in-law, who in turn acquired it from Paul Watson from Quick. Paul is not related to the family that owned the Watson Store. Source: donor's husband.
