- Description
- A small white, rectangular, ceramic dish. The sides of the dish slope drastically to a gilded rim. The rim is scalloped at each corner while the sides are slightly arched. On the plate is a portrait of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. The portraits are side by side in a blue & brown drape frame. The top of the drape has a crown sitting upon it. The bottom of the drape has a yellow banner w/'H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH, MAY, 1939' inside it. On the outside of the drape is a brown scenery of the 'NIAGRA FALLS'. The other side has a scenery of the 'HOUSE OF PARLIAMENT, OTTAWA'. In gothic print is 'TO COMMEMORATE THE FIRST OF THEIR MAJESTIES TO THE DOMINION OF CANADA AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, 1939'.
