Description: Rectangular, light-colored wooden box with cloth-hinged lid. Top is stamped with 'SIMON'S HAVANA' in black lettering enclosing a design also encircled in black. It has an oval paper seal on the front center, featuring gold coins at the sides and a '$' in center. The edges of the box have a narrow green and yellow paper border with "SIMON'S CIGARS" and "THE PERFECT SMOKE" with brown leaf design running in sequence. A tax stamp surrounds the left side of the box; on the top "CANADA" and "FIFTY CIGARS" and on the bottom "NUMBER 4813964" "SERIES OF 1915". The front is stamped "STATEMAN" and the back "MFGRS SIMON & SONS LIMITED MONTREAL" enclosed in design (in black). The right end of the box has a picture of a woman standing, with a cherub at her feet. There are four gold circles at the top right, and "SIMON'S HAVANA CIGARS" on a gold-bordered red oval at the center. The left end is pale green and white and yellow, with a narrow green border printed with "FABRICA DE TABACOS***IN ALL SIZES****" in sequence. There is an etching of a man's head encircled by a wreath with "ESQUISTOS" above. "SIMON'S HAVANA CIGARS" in gold-bordered red oval is centered over a picture of a person. Manufactured signature at bottom right.
