Description
(A) Tall, narrow, clear glass bottle with rectangular shape and high neck. The label on the front is yellow with orange border and looks tattered. 'RAWLEIGH'S 11 FL. OZ', and the directions are in black print. 'LINIMENT' is in orange letters with black border and below that is a picture of a man (Presumably Rawleigh) center of label has the directions for dosage (English & French) and the patent #'15334, THE W.T. RAWLEIGH CO., LTD., MONTREAL, WINNIPEG' is underneath the directions. The back of the bottle has 'RAWLEIGH'S' trademark embossed on clear glass. Bottom has press marks: One of the press marks has the letter 'C' inside of a triangle and the other press mark is the #3. (B) CAP: Navy blue with 'A RAWLEIGH PRODUCT': in white print which is encircled by a white thin band on top. DIA.-3 CM H-1.1CM
History Of Use
Rawleigh's liniment bottle apparently used internally for 'Cholera Morbus, Cholera Infantum, Coloc, Acute Diarrhea, Colds and Lagrippe' to increase perspiration. Apparently the contents could be applied externally for various other ailments.
