Description
a) A large, rectangular, cream and navy blue tin with thick navy blue border at top with jagged design in navy blue and cream at very top of tin. Front reads 'PURETEST PSYLLIUM SEED' in blue border with advertisement in box at the center and 'United Drug Company, Ltd., Toronto, Canada' in stylized border at bottom, both front and back. Back has advertisement and instructions in box in French. One side has instructions in English in box, and the other side has description and 'Net Contents: One Pound'. On the front of the box it also notes 'Sold Only at the Rexall Drug Stores'. b) Lid is cream-colored metal push-on type with navy blue inside border and remnant of paper label (blue) on top.
History Of Use
Tin of psyillium seed. Psyillium seed contents were used as a laxative. The seeds were put on cereals, soup, fruit jellies or were taken by the spoonful. Packaged by United Drug Company Ltd., Toronto, Canada.
